What exactly do we get at the end of the scan?+
A ranked AI opportunity backlog, a data readiness view for the top use cases, an EU AI Act risk classification per use case, an ROI model for the top 3, a 90-day roadmap and an executive readout. Every document is yours to keep and to use with any partner, including your internal team.
Do we have to continue with Grapefruit after the scan?+
No. The scan is a standalone, fixed-scope engagement with no obligation to continue. The roadmap is written so your own team or another partner can execute it. If you do continue, the scan becomes the brief for the prototype or build, so nothing has to be repeated.
Our data is not ready. Is a scan still useful?+
Yes. Most companies' data is not ready for every use case, and the scan shows which use cases work with what you already have, such as documents, tickets or product content, and what needs fixing first for the rest. Many strong first use cases run on existing documents.
How is the cost of the scan decided?+
The scan has a fixed scope and a fixed fee agreed before we start, so there are no surprises. What moves it is the number of business units and interviews, and whether the readout happens on-site. We confirm the fee after a 30-minute scoping call.
Is the EU AI Act classification legal advice?+
No. We classify each use case against the AI Act risk levels and transparency duties so you can see exposure early and design for it. For a formal legal opinion we recommend your legal counsel review the classification, and we work alongside them when needed.
Which data do you need access to during the scan?+
Mostly documentation and conversations, not production data. We ask for process descriptions, volumes and data inventories. If a sample is needed to judge readiness, it stays in your environment or is shared under an NDA and a data processing agreement.
